Wind Ensemble

So this guy worked very hard & played his heart out, and found out today that he made it into the Wind Ensemble Band. To say I'm proud is an understatement! Now I need to go buy him a new tie to wear on Friday.........he'll be playing for the first time with his braces back on during Graduation~

Sprinkler

Look what was going on outside my house this evening........

This little sweetie discovered the simple joy of a sprinkler on a hot summer evening. It was her very first time to play in one, and that tongue hanging out was too cute!!!

so proud.....

Ethan was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Thursday night. He is one of those kids that has the whole package...........personality, brains, looks, and he's a natural athlete. I'm so proud of all he's accomplished!! It means so much to me knowing all he's overcame to get to this point. Way to go E~
He was looking very handsome in his tie. I also discovered that I am by far the shortest member of the family. I think Ethan may pass up Colin fairly soon!
Colin had his Band Banquet on Friday night. He was looking very handsome in his new threads. I actually picked out his tie, and he liked it!!! Surprising since it was in varying shades of purple. I'm determined to have them wear COLORS! Nothing is more boring than brown, blue, & black..........next time I'm gonna try for turquoise or fuchsia!!!
I'm happy to say that after chaperoning the banquet, I was so glad I have boys. I wouldn't trade my boys for all the tea in China!!!!

Happy May Day

What a lovely May Day!!! If only the wind would calm down a bit, the weather would be perfect. My stargazers lilies are about to bloom and it looks like they may have multiplied this year!! I absolutely love them and don't know why I didn't plant them sooner. If I can grow them, anyone can!!!

Today was confirmation sunday and Ethan was an acolyte. Next year he'll be confirmed into the Lutheran faith. It seems like a lifetime ago since Colin was confirmed. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly my boys have grown. I'm in the extremely difficult years of parenting.......I find myself reading my Bible and devotions more than once a day!! I just bought a wonderful book of prayers recommend by a friend. It is so difficult to raise kids in today's society. My goals are to keep them strong in their faith with God, and always encourage them to live according to God's laws. I have no idea how I made it through my wild years unscathed, but I think it had something to do with God's protection and forgiveness......along with lots of prayers~
