Band....Band....and more Band!

It has been a wild ride, but so worth it to see Colin march at state!  The Pride of Pearland made it to state again this year.  I was able to chaperone the trip which began on Monday and ended early Wednesday morning.  It had it's ups & downs like all band road trips, but they had a great performance and that's what counts.

Saturday Colin performed in the All-Region Jazz Band Concert in Lake Jackson.  This was his second time to make the band, this year he made second chair & Area.  Colin really loves Jazz and had a very nice solo during one of the songs.
The Pearland kids are strongly represented at Region Jazz.  Here are all the kids from Pearland that made it into Region Jazz.  Two of the guys are from Dawson, but they are all good friends thanks to their private lesson instructor.

Today is Region Orchestra tryouts, so Colin will be doing them at some point this afternoon.

Ethan is still progressing along with his rehab. I miss watching him play football and all the sweaty stinky clothes I usually wash every night!!!  But he will be back on the field soon.......that boy loves the game. He got to take his brace off about 2 weeks ago and is loving being brace-free.  He will get fitted for his playing brace in the next week or so.  In the meantime, I'm trying to keep him from re-injurying himself.

I'm just thankful all my guys are home!  Ron had a quick trip to Ohio this weekend for his Aunt's funeral.  All his siblings were able to make it to the funeral, and one of his cousins from Washington that he hadn't seen in about 20 years was there, too!!  Now we are just looking forward to celebrating the holidays.......this year it looks like we might get to share them with our niece & her family.  I'm so excited to get to meet my great nephew & niece!!!!
